Covid 19

Keeli's childcare had to close due to government guidelines on March 20th 2020. I could have taken a few keyworker children but they managed to stay home for 10 weeks when restrictions eased.

It then meant I had to build up my business and work out who was able to come back and who was going to leave.

Since June 1st I have seen some children return and they came in like no time had passed. I have also welcomed some new children too. This has meant most days I have 6 or 7 (woah!!!), instead of my usual 3 or 4 all day.

Life is a little different these days with us being exclusively in the cabin and not going into the house. We also wash hands a lot more and have fewer resources. The children have adapted well and know the routine well. It helps when the sun is shining of course and we can use the garden or go on a walk.

I doubt things will return to 'normal' for some time and I probably won't return to doing things how i did pre covid. I am not currently interested in returning to a group I attended once a week, I didn't feel it benefited the children as much as I could provide elsewhere. But I am missing softplay where the children loved running around with familiar children and learning to climb and slide.

We will have to wait and see what the future bring for Keeli's Childcare
